Introduction
The Weblicator Software is a powerful and complete tool for template oriented generation of web sites.
Originally I created the weblicator software for the purpose of making the Duplication of Website's Easy (and other projects).
but after using it on many different projects I soon realised just how powerful this tool really is.
I have been involved in building many website's over the past 10 years, ranging from simple html pages to php sites and even content management sites such as php-nuke. I often found myself making a template which I would then open and use as a starting point in the construction process. I found myself using "find and replace" ALOT and soon realised I needed a tool that could help me not only achieve the editing but help me organize my templates and projects and even quickly brand a template when I was selling one of my website's to my clients. So I gave a great programmer a written outline of what I wanted and worked with him to finely tune my software until it gave me the exact results I was looking for. The Weblicator Software supports any text based files and will work with multiple levels of directories and subdirectories so it is great for editing small medium and large templates.
It supports multiple projects and profiles,
It can import externally gathered client data from emails (.eml) and text files directly into any project.
It can replace tags with any text including short, long or whole blocks of strings and even code.

Concept
The weblicator is based on the concept of "Tags and Values"
The basic idea is to copy a directory and everything in it while replacing found Tags in those files with provided Tag Values.

Simply put the weblicator software will search for text Tags found within a *set of files, and where Tag's are found AND a Tag value has been provided the weblicator software will change the Tag to the new Tag Value.
Any Tags found that have NOT been given a new Tag Value by the weblicator software will remain unedited in the copied files.
All other files in the directory just get copied to the new target Destination folder untouched.
Tags and Values can be short or as long/complex as required,
For example you can use this tool to simply find and replace "words" or numbers such as personal information, affiliate codes, usernames etc OR you can search for Tags that indicate where entire blocks of text, html code, scripting etc should be entered. *Set of files are all files in one top level folder AND all files found in all sub folders.

 

Every set of Tag and Tag Value or "tag Set" also has a "Program name" associated to it -

The "Program Name" field is used for identification purposes for that "tag set"
This is handy for organizing and grouping multiple Tags
The Tag is any text that we want to search for and change
The Tag Value is what we want the Tag changed to.

In the screenshot above there are 6 "Profile Names" The weblicator software can handle hundreds of "Profile Names" so files being duplicated can have mulitiple or even hundreds of tags which makes it very powerful for editing small or very large website templates with multiple files and file types.
Program Names can be anything, for example: personal details, affiliate ids, keywords and phrases, meta tags, prices, java, html php codes or anything else you can think of.

Easy As 1, 2, 3 ...

The Weblicator is so Quick and Easy to use.

 

1) Open the program from the start menu or desktop shortcut.
The default "Setup Profile" will be loaded.

This is a very simple " Test Profile"that is included with the software.
The Source folder in this simple "example" contains the following sample files:

This is a basic text file using our example tags.
In this file there are some clickbank products and an adsense add at the bottom. Notice when viewing the file our "tags" are in the place where we want our Personal Details, Clickbank and Adsense Id's.



The weblicator is very efficient because you can list the types of files the weblicator will process,
This speeds up the time it takes to Duplicate.
In our example there are some common file types listed.
You can add and remove file types as required depending on your template needs.


All other file types found in the directory will be duplicated to the destination directory unaltered.


 

2) Import Data from the Client email.

In this example we are using a text file representing the results received in an email containing a clients details that we have received via an online form we have set up to get their information.
This simple text file contains the data we are importing, the client_start_tag and client_end_tag tell the weblicator where to look for the data in the file.
Your Tags can be anything you wish to use.
Of course you can also type the "Tag Values" directly into the Weblicator Software if you did not have an email to import from.

 

3) In the image below our clients details have been imported
All thats left to do is: Click on the GO button.

Your files have now been duplicated, edited and saved to the destination Folder in seconds.

Your New Fully Branded files are now ready to send to the client.
